Decoration compatibility
VisePrint guidance derived from this garment's stated fabric and construction — not manufacturer claims.
Screen printing
Good
Blended fabric prints reliably; match the ink system to the dominant fiber.
- Dye-migration risk on polyester content — use a low-bleed or poly-specific ink system and cure at lower temperatures.
DTF transfer
Good
Compatible with this fabric type at correct press temperature and pressure.
DTG printing
Good
Cotton-rich blend prints acceptably; expect a softer, more vintage result than 100% cotton.
- Water-based DTG ink absorbs poorly into polyester and can wash out — pretreat and test.
Embroidery
Excellent
Midweight-plus fabric supports dense stitch counts without distortion.
Heat transfer
Good
Standard HTV and transfers apply well at the correct temperature for this fiber mix.
Sublimation
Not Recommended
Cotton-dominant fabric does not bond sublimation dye.
Decoration results can vary by equipment, ink, transfer material, garment color, and production settings. Always test before beginning a full production run.

About this blank
J. America Zen Fabric is a specialty product that undergoes a variety of processes to create its unique and textured look. As a result, the finished garments will shed a portion of their darker fibers, becoming noticeably lighter in shade after the initial laundry cycles. For best results, please wash and dry separately, following label instructions, for the initial launderings. Significant lint build up in the dryer is normal in the initial laundry cycles and can be avoided by hanging to dry.
Country of origin
Made in China.
Shown for the Cement/ Very Berry colorway; origin can vary by color and production run.

Terms used on this page
- Polyester
- Polyester is a synthetic, petroleum-based fiber prized for durability, quick-dry performance, and colorfastness, but prone to dye migration under screen-print inks.
- Burnout Fabric
- Burnout fabric is a poly-cotton blend chemically treated to dissolve the cotton in a pattern, leaving a sheer, worn-in look prized for vintage tees.
- Acid Wash
- Acid wash is a finishing process where pumice stones soaked in chlorine bleach tumble against garments, creating the high-contrast mottled fade of '80s denim.
- Silicone Finish
- A silicone finish is a softener applied during wet processing that bonds a lubricating layer to cotton fibers, giving premium tees their slick, buttery hand.
- V-neck
- A V-neck is a t-shirt collar shaped like a downward-pointing V instead of a round crew, cutting closer to the sternum and narrowing usable chest-print space.
- Raglan Sleeve
- A raglan sleeve is cut in one piece with the shoulder, creating a diagonal seam from underarm to collar instead of a rounded shoulder seam.
