Blank apparel for heat transfer
Heat transfer — HTV for names and numbers, paper transfers for small full-color runs — applies to most of the catalog at the right temperature. The list below carries Good-or-better ratings.
The main caution is heat-sensitive fabric: polyester scorch and dye migration are temperature problems, solved with low-temp materials.
How to choose
- Names-and-numbers team work is classic HTV territory — pair it with the performance knits teams actually wear.
- Use low-temperature transfer material on polyester and anything with a wicking finish.
What goes wrong
- Full-platen pressing thick seams — uneven pressure leaves edges unbonded.
- High-temp transfers on sublimated or bright polyester, cooking dye into the transfer.
