How to choose
- For logo programs, piqué polos and twill wovens are the safest surfaces at any stitch density.
- On performance knits, specify a stabilizer/backing — the rating carries that consideration for a reason.
- Keep lettering above ~4.5 mm on textured fabric so it stays legible.
What goes wrong
- Dense fills on sub-4.5 oz fabric — puckering is near-guaranteed without careful digitizing and stabilizing.
- Ignoring loft on fleece: small text sinks without a water-soluble topping.
