Cotton-poly blend blanks
The 50/50 and cotton-rich blends are the workhorse compromise: cotton’s hand with polyester’s shrink resistance and durability — a mainstay for uniforms and fleece.
Blends print reliably once the ink system respects the polyester share; the ratings below carry that context.
How to choose
- Blend fleece resists pilling and shrinking through industrial wash cycles better than all-cotton.
- Cotton-rich blends (60/40 and up) still take DTG acceptably with a softer result.
What goes wrong
- Treating a 50/50 like 100% cotton at the press — cure temperature and bleed still follow the polyester.
