Missy Fit

Missy fit is an adult women's cut, sized true to body measurements with more room through torso and hip than junior fit.

Where junior fit narrows the block for a teen frame, missy fit keeps the standard adult women's proportions: full hip room, a longer torso, and sizing that tracks a real body measurement chart instead of a vanity-sized fashion curve. A missy medium reads close to a unisex small-medium in chest width, just cut with a female armhole and a tapered waist.

Missy fit is what most reputable women's tee lines default to — Next Level's 3900 and Gildan's 5000L are both cut to this standard, which is why they're the safer choice for a company store or a multi-generational team order where ages and body types vary widely. We steer any group order past age 25 toward this cut over junior fit for exactly that reason; junior's teen block simply doesn't serve a 45-year-old customer well.

Specify missy fit whenever the audience skews adult, mixed-age, or unknown, and use the brand's own size chart rather than assuming it matches unisex numbering one-to-one — a missy small commonly runs closer to a unisex extra-small through the shoulder. Pair a missy tee with a unisex option in the same order so people who prefer a looser drape aren't stuck.

The mistake is treating missy fit and junior fit as interchangeable because both are labeled "women's" on a spec sheet — they're built off entirely different blocks, and swapping one for the other mid-order is how half a team ends up in shirts that don't match the rest.
